Nowadays I work with Lithuanian Tennis Federation. I came to RIOU because of International Tennis Federation. I won the scholarship. I was into sports all my life. For ten years I played football professionally. I went to tennis because I could not play football anymore. I continue volunteering in sports events that is how I end up being with the Tennis Federation. At first, I did not know anything about the RIOU, I had to do some research, to see the program. I really expected that it is going to be a challenge, because it is the second in Europe and a top ten in the world. When I came here it was really nice with all of the professors coming from different parts of the world, professionally contributing to the study process, and acting not only as professors, but as human beings, helping you with your work, with your struggles. The study program was strong. I found it very useful. I grew here not only academically, but as a person as well, because coming from a completely different country it was challenging to me. In the future, I want to continue working in tennis. Because of the study program I had the opportunity to go to International Tennis Federation and do my internship there. I talked with them a lot about how we could improve tennis in Lithuania. Every week at the RIOU was different, challenging and exciting. Honestly, every week we had presentations, that really scared me, but at the same time, helped to improve my skills. Overall, it has been amazing experience to be here in Sochi. The quality of the professors is great, the student are from all over the world and we can make connections, have friends from Brazil, from Oman, from different countries, which can help you a lot in the future.
